66450: Donald Mackay

Donald (1813-1905) was the eldest child of Malcolm Mackay and Margaret Mackay, Kirkibost. When the village was cleared the family moved to 4 Crulivig.

He married, in his 50s to Catherine Maclean from North Shawbost. The couple had no children.

Donald was widowed in 1901.

According to family reports he had strong recollections of being in Kirkibost, their family home in his childhood days was where No 1 Kirkibost is today.
