40795: Malcolm Mackay

Malcolm (1781-1864) was a son of John Mackay and Christina Macdonald, Kirkibost. The family moved to  Crulivig when Kirkibost was cleared in 1823. According to family records they had their home where No 1 Kirkibost is today.

He married Margaret Mackay and settled at No 4 Crulivig. The couple had six children including Margaret (born 1837) who died in infancy.
