Norman (born c1745) was a son of Donald Matheson, Kneep and Geshader, Uig.
He married Catherine Macleod from Fivepenny Borve. Norman and Catherine lived at Carishader and they had four children.
The following is from the transcript of the Lewis-Harris boundary dispute hearing.
Witness 24;
Sept 24 1805
Norman Matheson, tenant at Carasheider in Uig, aged sixty years, a married man, depones, That he is brother to Malcolm Roy Matheson, tenant at Peindonel, a preceding deponent. Being interrogated as to the different points contained in the deposition of the said Malcolm Roy Matheson, depones and concurs with him in omnibus.
