Roderick (1833-1894) was the son of Kenneth Morrison and Margaret Macleod of 31 Old Back; the family obtained 35 Back in 1851.
Roderick married Margaret Murray, of 23 Newmarket, and the couple settled as cottars at 35 Back and had at least the six of their children there.
In the 1880s, Roderick and family moved to Guershader. Their final child was born in 1881, so may have been born in Gueshader.
