9213: Margaret Maclennan

Margaret (1830-1903) was a daughter of Donald Maclennan and Catherine Nicolson, 11/12 Achmore.
In Lochs, in 1850, she married Alexander Smith of Laxay and Valtos Farm. Margaret and Alexander iniitially lived at 11/12 Achmore where they had five of their ten children.
In the 1860s Margaret's father exchanged crofts with Donald Mackenzie, Cleascro. The family moved and the croft later passed to Alexander.
