Murdaigean Tharmoid

Murdo (1904-1973) was the son of Norman Macleod and Christina Campbell who were cottars at 53 North Tolsta. He was a Missionary.

He married Mary Maciver of 28 North Tolsta and they lived  at the Cromore Mission House. In 1939 they had a son, Donald. Mary died in childbirth and Donald died the following year.

Murdo married Morag Maclean of Scalpay and moved to Sunnybrae, North Tolsta, which he had purchased from John Campbell.  Murdo and Morag had two children.
