Margaret (1816-1881) was the daughter of John Beaton; it is likely the family were living in Old Coll at the time of her birth; either as cottars or possibly at 9 Old Coll.

Margaret married William Morrison, of Melbost, Borve, and the couple settled at 31 North Tolsta. They had one son: John.

In due course 31 North Tolsta passed to John.
