93431: Kenneth Smith

Coinneach Aonghais

Kenneth (1805-1885) was the son of Angus Smith and Ann Mackinnon.

By 1820 there was an Angus Smith on the sub-tenants list of Old South Tolsta Tack, but it is not clear if this was his father: as by 1830 three Angus Smiths went on to obtain crofts. In 1830 his father obtained 12 Old South Tolsta.

In Lochs, in 1837, he married Catherine Morrison of Marvig. Kenneth and Catherine had three children.

In 1851, during the croft re-lotting, the family obtained 55 North Tolsta.

Kenneth was widowed in 1881 and in due course 55 North Tolsta passed to his eldest son, Donald.
