Catherine Finlayson was born at 10-11 Brue in 1834. Her parents were Alexander Finlayson and Mary Macleod. Catherine married John Macleod of 8-9 Brue in about 1855 and had a family of five , three sons and two daughters at 8-9 Brue. Catherine died 1882 at 8 Brue and is buried in Barvas.
