3046: Johanna Macphail

Johanna (born 1904) was a daughter of John Macphail and Annabella Macleod, 16 Gravir. Her father died in 1904 and her mother in 1914. On Gravir School Records, her Uncle Neil Macleod, is named as Guardian to Johanna and her sister Mary. In 1921 she was a living at 37 Gravir with her Uncle Neil.

She emigrated to Canada and was was living in Montreal. Johanna emigrated to the United States of America in 1929.

 In New York,  in  1935, she married Roderick Macleod formerly of 26 Cromore. Johanna and Roderick lived at 122 East 116th  Street, New York and they had at least two children. 

The family had moved to 201 East 95th Street by 1939 and later moved to New Jersey.
