Norman, born in 1889, was a son of Angus Maclennan and Mary Macleod from 5 Kirkibost. During the First World War he was interned in a Prisoner of War camp in Groningen, Holland. He was awarded the Mons Star.

Norman inherited the croft at 5 Kirkibost. He did not marry so willed the croft to his sister Ann.
