56835: Jane Macleod
Jane Macleod(1808-1868) was a daughter of William Macleod and Catherine Macleod, 4 Old Eishken.
In 1830 the family moved to Buanish.
In Lochs, in 1831, she married Malcolm Montgomery, 58 Balallan. Jane and Malcolm were Cottars at 4 Old Eishken where they had one of their nine children.
The family moved to 23 Cromore in 1835. In the 1841 Census Jean, William and Angus are living at 34 Balallan with Malcolm’s sister. In 1851 they are at 23 Cromore.
They later moved to 5 New Garrabost and finally, Keith Street, Stornoway.
