74148: Donald MacAskill
Donald MacAskill was born in 1846, the son of Kenneth MacAskill and Catherine MacLeod of old Ruisgarry. The family moved to 9 Ruisgarry (Gunhill) which his father obtained in 1850, and later to 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay).
Donald stayed in a house close to his parents at Quay, working as a general dealer and merchant. His niece Christina MacAskill worked with him, the house and business passing to her following his death in 1899.
