Catherine (1818-1892) was a daughter of Malcolm Macarthur and Ann Macarthur from Barraglom. In the 1820s, Catherine's widowed mother, Ann and the family were among one of the first to settle in Achmore. Their croft was numbered 4 Old Achmore then from the 1850s, 15 Achmore.

In Lochs, in 1839, Catherine married Murdo Morrison from Uig. She died a widow in Cleascro from Natural Decay from Old Age and her death was registered by her brother, Angus.
