Margaret (1817-c1853) was the daughter of Duncan Stewart and Ann Macfarlane.

She married Kenneth Mackenzie. In 1835 the family obtained 35 Old Back as a newly lotted croft. Margaret and Kenneth had six children.

Margaret was widowed around 1845. when many of her children were still very young. The family moved to 62 Back which was her brother-in-law's croft and Margaret later became a cottar at her parents croft at 17 Back.
