Mary, born 1791, was the daughter of Angus Ferguson of Ruisgarry. She married Roderick MacAskill, also of Ruisgarry, with whom she was to have nine children. The family shared a croft with Roderick’s brother Murdo, but had moved to Obbe by 1841.
