In Lochs, in 1836, she married John Macleod, 1 Habost. His family may have lived at 3 Habost before moving to 1 Habost. Mary and John settled at 1 Habost and they had four children.
Mary was widowed in 1850 and the family moved to the maternal croft at 1 Garyvard.
