Margaret (1814-1897) was the daughter of Alexander Murray and Jessie Murray. The family obtained 1 North Galson c1815 and in 1830 they obtained 9 Old North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft. Her father died soon after they moved.

Margaret married John Maciver of 15 Old Coll. The couple settled at 41 Old Coll, which was a newly lotted croft in 1841 and in 1844 the family moved to 8 Laxdale. John and Margaret had four children.

Margaret was widowed in 1885.
