Angus (1892-1931) was the son of Norman Beaton and Ann Macrae, 40 Vatisker. His father died in 1900 and the family moved to 15  Vatisker.

He emigrated to Canada on 5 April 1913 from Glasgow on the SS Leticia heading for St John, New Brunswick. Soon after his arrival the First World War began and Angus served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in France until 1919 when he returned to Canada.

At Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1930, Angus married Margaret Murray formerly of 7 Back. The couple settled at Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan and they had one daughter.

Angus died  of a Bleeding Ulcer, aged 39.
