115966: Alexander Maciver

Alasdair Iain

Alexander (1793-1854) was the son of John Maciver, the name of his mother is not known. His mother died and his father married widow, Mrs Catherine Murray nee Mackenzie. In 1807 the family obtained 13 Old Coll.

Alexander married his step sister, Christina Murray and they had six children. In 1841 the couple settled at 40 Old Coll and in 1851, during the croft re-lotting, Alexander took on a joint tenancy with his father at  32 Coll.
