Iain Iomhair Aonghais

John (1843-1892) was the son of Evander Ferguson and Ann Murray. In 1865 the family obtained 53 Back.

He married Catherine Macdonald of 42 Back. The couple were cottars at 53 Back initially and they later moved to New Street, Back and settled on land that eventually became part of 42 Back. They had eight children, five girls and three boys.
