Caitriona Alasdair Aonghais

Catherine (born 1851) was the daughter of Alexander Macdonald and Christina Thomson, 24 Old Back. in 1858 the family obtained 42 Back.

She married John Ferguson of 53 Back. Catherine and John were cottars at 53 Back and they had eight children. The family later moved to  New Street, Back and settled on land that would eventually become part of 42 Back.
