John (born 1879) was a son of John Macleod and Margaret Mackenzie, 11 Cromore. The family later moved to Stornoway.
He was living in 48 Vernon Road, Leytonstone, East London in 1926 when he married his cousin, Fergusina Mackenzie, 14 Marvig, in Edinburgh.
