Murdo (born 1865) was the firstborn child of Donald Macleod and Janet Macleod, 13 Crossbost.
At Partick, in 1895, he married Christina Macrae, 5 Habost. Murdo and Christina settled at Linthouse Buildings, Govan, Glasgow and they had five children. In 1901 Christina's sister, Mary Ann, her brother, Donald John and in 1905 her cousin, Mary are living with the family.
The family emigrated to Canada in 1911 and settled in Calgary, Alberta.
