Roderick Laird Maciver  (1883-1953) was a son of Murdoch Maciver and Anne Macmillan, Lingwick, Quebec the family settled on a farm between Gould and Scotstown for a short time and later moved to Fisher Hill, Gould, Lingwick.

He married Katherine Ann Maciver and they lived in Lingwick.

Roderick was widowed in 1941.
