Torcull Alasdair Iain
Torquil (1851-1924) was a son of Alexander Macleod and Christina Sutherland, Point Street, Stornoway. The family later moved to Church Street. Torquil was a painter and paper hanger.
He married Mary Irving Hunter from Barvas Farm. Torquil and Mary initially lived at Point Street where they had two of their seven children. By 1891 they were living at Bayhead and by 1901 the family had moved to Glasgow and were living at Cardross Street, Dennistoun.
Mary's mother lived with the family.
