Donald (1819-1901) was a son of Murdo Macdonald and Catherine Smith, Druim a Gharraidh, Hacklete.
He married Mary Macnaughon, Linshader and formerly of Both Cnoc Dubh
In the 1851 Census Donald is recorded at Druim a Gharraidh with his parents, wife Mary and his eldest son Murdo.
By 1861 they have moved to 5 Crulivig and Donald is head of household.
