Alexander (1857-1940) was a son of Malcolm Smith and Isabella Nicolson, 6 Gravir.
In Lochs, in 1891, he married Isabella Macmillan, 23 Lemreway. Alexander and Isabella were Cottars at 6 Gravir and they had three daughters.
Around 1920 the croft at 6 Gravir was merged with 7 Gravir to form 6/7 Gravir.
