Iain Iain Choinnich
John (born 1855) was a son of John Macleod and Catherine Kennedy, 13a Calbost.
In Lochs, in 1876, he married his cousin, Mary Kennedy, 3 Calbost. John and Mary initially lived with Mary's parents and later obtained the tenancy of 3 Calbost. The couple had nine children.
Their daughter, Christina, was widowed in 1911 and returned to 3 Calbost with two of her children.
John worked as a postman in Calbost and Marvig until 1917.
