Alex came from Lochs. He married Elizabeth Macnaughton from the Kirkibost tackhouse. Her parents were against this match and warned her chan eil ann ach saor tàilleabhach. They married regardless and moved to Glasgow. Their grandchildren used to visit 3 Linshader.
