Iain Uilleim
John (1809-1895) was a son of William Macdonald and Mary Macritchie, Kneep
In Uig, in 1835, he married Chirsty Mackay, 2 Valtos. John and Chirsty lived at Kneep and later relocated to 44 North Shawbost. The couple had six children and in 1851 the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Winslow, Quebec.
From 1939 John's mother, Mary lived with the family. She and her son, Donald emigrated with the family in 1851.
