Chirsty (1809-1898) was a daughter of John Mackay and Henny Macdonald, of 2 Valtos.
In Uig, in 1835, she married John Macdonald from Kneep. The couple initially lived in Kneep and relocated to 44 North Shawbost. Chirsty and John had six children. John's mother, Mary lived with the family.
In 1851 the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Winslow, Quebec. Mary and John's brother, Donald emigrated with the family.
Chirsty was widowed in 1895.
