Iain Mhurchaidh Ruairidh
John (1855-1896) was a son of Murdo Montgomery and Margaret Macarthur, 25 Ranish
After his father's death in 1861 the family moved to the maternal croft at 8 Cromore. His other died in 1868 and in 1871 John is a servant for James and Ann Macleod. It is believed that John and his two brothers later lived at 17 Cromore
In Lochs, in 1886, he married Christina Macleod, 13 Calbost. John and Christina settled at 17 Cromore and they had three children.
John died of Typhoid Fever in 1896 aged 46.
