Angus (1888-1934) was a son of John Smith and Ann Kennedy, 19a Cromore.
He enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve and served in the Royal Navy in the First World War. His name is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-18.
At Stornoway, in 1915, he married Margaret Macfarlane, 10 Marvig. Angus and Margaret initially lived with Margaret's parents at 10 Marvig and later settled at 34 Caros, Cromore. The couple had eleven children.
