Mary Anne (1850-1920) was born in Stornoway. She was a daughter of John Macfarlane and Anne Macdonald, Crobeg. In the 1850s the family moved to Bayhead, Stornoway. In 1871 they were living at Keith Street and at the time of her marriage, 17 Kenneth Street, Stornoway.
In 1883, at 17 Kenneth Street, Stornoway, she married Neil Maccallum, General Merchant, Stornoway and formerly of Kilmartin, Argyll. Mary Anne and Neil settled at 14 Francis Street and they had six children.
Her mother and brother, Alexander were living with the family in 1891.
