Joan (1899-1969) was the daughter of Donald Macleod and Mary Macleod of 3 New Street, Back. In 1922 her parents obtained 20 Gress. She settled at 8 Anderson Road, Stornoway where she worked as a housekeeper for John Macrae.
At Stornoway, in 1946, she married widower, John A Maciver. Gamekeeper's House, Soval Joan and John lived Gamekeeper's House.
