Donald (1917-1941) was a son of Roderick Mackinnon and Marion Mackenzie, 16 Marvig. The family moved to 24 Marvig c1929.
He served in the Second World War with the 4th Battalion of the Seaforth Highlanders, Service Number 2819682. He died whilst in India aged 24.
Donald is buried in Delhi War Cemetery and his name is commemorated on the Pairc War Memorial and the Lewis War Memorial in Stornoway.
