Donald Macaulay lived at 19 Breasclete.

In 1919 he married Catherine Macmillan of 3/4 Glen Tolsta. The couple settled at 7 Gress and they had five children, three sons and two daughters. One of the boys had the nickname Tiny due to being tall.

Donald was widowed in 1943 when Catherine died of Tuberculosis. He later married Mary Macleod of 20 Gress.
