Donald (1861-1953) was a son of Donald Macleod and Isabella Nicolson, 5 Kershader.
In Lochs, in 1905, he married Catherine Macleod, 6 Garyvard. Donald and Catherine settled at 5 Kershader and they had six children.The family had the Post Office in Kershader from 1935 until the 1990s.
In 1911 his nephews from Glasgow were living with the family.
