Malcolm (1813-1897) was a son of Donald Munro and Mary Mackinnon, the Shiant Islands.
In Lochs, in 1843, he married Anne Nicolson. Malcolm and Anne obtained 10 Old Leurbost and in 1851 Anne's mother is living with the couple.
They later moved to 20 Leurbost and in 1861 they were caring for Alexander Mackenzie, son of Murdo Mackenzie and Gormelia Mackenzie after his mother's death. Alexander later returned to live with own family.
The couple moved to Matheson Court, Stornoway in 1865. In 1891 Alexander is again living with the couple
Malcolm was widowed in 1893.
