Anna Maired Alasdair

Anne Nicolson (1825-1893) was a daughter of Margaret Mackenzie. Her father was John Nicolson but her parents were not married.

In Lochs, in 1843, she married Malcolm Munro who came from the Shiant Islands. Anne and Malcolm lived at 10 Old Leurbost and in 1851 Anne's mother Margaret Mackenzie is living with the couple.

Anne and Malcolm obtained 20 Leurbost and in 1861 they were caring for  Alexander Mackenzie son of Murdo Mackenzie whose wife Gormelia had died. Alexander later returned to live with his family.

In 1865 the family moved to Matheson Court, Stornoway and in 1891 Alexander is living with the couple.
