Roderick (born 1903) was a son of Roderick Mackenzie and Naomi Maclean, 12 Crossbost.

Roderick emigrated to Canada and in 1930 emigrated to the United States of America. He was living in Buffalo, New York with his wife of three years Janet Mackinnon formerly of 4 Caverstay and his son, Roderick. His brother, Lachlan, Jessie's brother, Roderick and a cousin, John Macleod were living with the family. Roderick was working at an Automobile Factory in Buffalo.

Some time later the family returned to Lewis and settled at 12 Crossbost. Roderick and Janet had five children.
