Hector (1809-1890) was a son of Donald Macleod and Isabella Macleod, 4 Kershader.
In Lochs, in 1836, he married Flora Campbell, 40 Gravir. Hector and Flora settled at 11 Kershader and they had eight children. In 1841 Flora's sister, Jane is living with the family. Some time between 1851 and 1855 the family moved to 11 Habost.
Hector was widowed in 1855 and in 1863, in Lochs, he married Mary Macritchie, 6 Kershader.
