Mary (1814-1897) was a daughter of Donald Nicolson and Christina Macsween, 5 Kershader.
In Lochs, in 1834, she married John Macdonald, 23 Old Leurbost. Mary and John settled at 23 Old Leurbost where they had two sons.
It is believed that John abandoned his family and emigrated to North America.
Mary had a daughter, Catherine Mackenzie with Donald Mackenzie. In 1841 Mary and her three children are living at 12 Leurbost. In 1851 her sons are living with their grandparents at 5 Kershader and her daughter with her grandmother at Leurbost.
Mary died of old age in Crossbost aged 83.
