Angus (born 1805) was the son of Archibald Macarthur and Effie (Unknown Surname), 2 Old Knock Carloway.
He married Isabella Macaulay from Tobson. The couple lived at 13 Old Borrowston and they had six children. In the 1850 re-lotting the family obtained 2a Borrowston.
In 1851 the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Huron County, Ontario.
