Sine Mhurchaidh Iain

Jane (c1796-1884) was the daughter of Murdo Morrison and Janet Souter, 3 Kyles of Scalpay. She had a son, John Macdonald who lived with his grandparents at 3 Kyles Scalpay.

Jane married John Maclennan of Lochs. Jane and John settled in 9a Old Lemreway where they had their eight of their nine children.

In 1843 Lemreway was cleared and the family obtained 4 Glen Tolsta as a newly lotted croft. 

Jane was widowed in c1848 and in 1856 she obtained 49 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft. In 1863 she lost the croft and became a cottar at her son's croft at 60 North Tolsta.
