116012: Arnish Farm

Arnish Farmhouse was on high ground above Kildun House on Arnish. Kildun House, the residence of relatives of the Earl of Seaforth, had historic links to the short visit by Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746.

Both of these buildings are long gone, as is the hill, all bulldozed flat in the 1970s in the preparations for the construction of the entrance route to the Lewis Offshore site.
