51115: 8 Achmore

In the late 1860s a portion of the croft at 8 Achmore was split off and given to Mary Mackay, a widow from 7 Achmore. Although different publications have referred to the two resulting crofts in different ways, they were both known locally as 8 Achmore. On this website the part that was split off is referred to as ‘8 Achmore (split)’ while the other part is regarded as a continuation of the existing 8 Achmore.
