Iain Neil Mhurchaidh
John Iain Og (1776-1840s) was a son of Neil Macleod and Catherine Mackenzie, Vuia Mhor. There were two John's in the family and his older brother John settled at 19 Balallan. His parents and ten of his siblings emigrated to Canada and settled at Cape Breton.
He married Mary Smith, also from Vuia Mhor. John and Mary lived at Vuia Mhor and they had six children. John was enumerated in 1841 as the sitting tenant with his wife and five of his children
John is said to have died on Vuia in his 60s, which must have been in the1840s
.
