Caitriona Mhurchaidh

Catherine was the daughter of Murdo Mackenzie and Isabella (surname unknown) of Lochs and Kirkibost.

She married Neil Macleod from Old Mangersta. The couple lived on Vuia Mhor and they had twelve children.

In the 1820s  the couple and ten of their children emigrated to Canada and settled in Cape Breton. John (1776) and John (1783) remained on Lewis.
